It that time again for my SAL update. I’m happy to report I have something to show you this time. πŸ˜€

I still am not having much luck with my Pumpkinville sampler. If you remember I had to start over because I was one stitch off. Well I tried again, but it seems I just can’t count right now. I started in the center this time, hoping this would work, but some how I was off again. So for now Pumpkinville is in a time out. I’ll come back to it, but need a break and to figure out how I want to make it work.

As you can see the banner just isn’t centered

So for now I think I’m going to work on some smaller projects and catch up on some of the holiday patterns I have from The Frosted Pumpkin. I made a list awhile back of the patterns I had from the Frosted Pumpkin and realized I have quite a few I haven’t stitched. So I’m going to be working on those for now.

Since St Patrick’s day was coming up I decided make some of those.

The first one I did was called St Patrick’s Day from the Pen Pal Collection. I thought the little girl was so cute.

Here is my finished piece.

I like to decorate for the holidays so I framed her and added her to collection

The next project I did was called Luck and Clover. Here is my finished project.

I also got this one framed.

And added to my decorations…

So I have two “Happy Dances” this time.

I have a couple of more St Patrick’s Day to do, but think I’m going to work on Spring/Easter projects next.

The next update is April 7th.

Please check out what the others in the SAL have been up to.

  1. Stepping away for a set of fresh eyes when you come back to it is a great idea. Hope you can find out why it won’t center. Your two finished smalls are adorable!

  2. Linda, for larger pieces I usually run a line of thread up and down and across the middle of the fabric sort of making a grid of 4 parts and find that helps me stay true to the stitches. I couldn’t do without it actually.
But, yes, sometimes you just have to step away and return with fresh eyes.
Meanwhile, very cute St. Paddy’s Day pieces!

  3. I like your wee finishes. So cute!
I always find the centre of the fabric by folding and creasing, and then mark it with a scrap of thread. I also use a slightly larger piece of fabric than recommended as I find it easier to stitch on, but it also gives me more wiggle room.
