First off I need to apologize for being gone for so long. Life has gotten really crazy! First there was Christmas, then our daughter and her 3 girls have moved in with us in January. It is a big life change for all of us, but I also had 2 rooms that had to be totally cleaned out of 20 years of stuff. One of the rooms was my craft room 🙁. I had so much stuff that I had to go through and so many decisions to make that by end of the day I was so tired that I just wanted to sit and do nothing. So needless to say I haven’t gotten any stitching done.

Trying to decide on a project has been hard too, so I have decided to work on this project.

I thought that this was cute and would go great in our cabin. Also it is a small, easy project which is what I need right now.

I was able to make some progress. Doesn’t look like much, but I’m actually almost half done.

Please check out what the others in the SAL have been working on. We have 2 new members this time. Welcome Laura and Cathie

See you in 3 weeks.

  1. Welcome back.I love simple projects and this one is perfect. I will enjoy watching this grow. I like what Kathy wrote too. I have to add, not knowing the circumstances of the need for your daughter and grands to move in, I am a little envious as I would love to have any of my girls back home with the grands, as I miss them all so much. Enjoy these precious times and chance to make memories.

  2. Wow, life really did throw you a curve. Too bad about the craft room. I don’t even want to think about having to clear out my space! (Fortunately, I don’t think I’ll have to any time soon.) This little project looks to be just the ticket for right now.

  3. How unexpected life can be! I am glad you are able to find time to do some stitching, and also the time to show us how you are going. I love those designs with different windows ~ rather like the old fashioned idea of a cabinet of curios.

  5. Hi Linda and a big welcome back. I too had such a huge change in my life except I moved in with daughter and grandson to babysit him while she worked. He is 15 now and though I have moved out, I still help them out a lot. But I know it is such a comfort to have family support in times of need.
Meanwhile, happy stitching when you get the moments. Hugs to you, J
