SAL-August

I took a break from Snow Pals to work on a gift for a friend’s birthday. My friend really likes the old pickup trucks. She loves the red ones with the Christmas tree in the back that have been popular at Christmas. So when I saw this set of Vintage Truck of the Month by Erica I knew I wanted to make the August one for her birthday. I plan on making the whole set, but this one is the first.

I finished this and am not sure I like the colors together. I think the background is to dark. The example has a white background so I decided to start over with the white. I also made the truck a darker shade of blue. Lucky this piece is a relatively fast stitch.

Here is where I am now. I like this combo much better. I will share the finished project in the next update.
