Sorry this update is so late today. I was a  Stamping Retreat and just got home.

I was able to get more stitching in this time. I finished the 3rd section and have started the last section.

SAL Update, February

Well it’s that time again, time sure did fly.

I didn’t have as much down time these last 3weeks, but still got a lot done. I really like how the picture is coming together. I finished the last section and line work. So glad I decided to do the line work before I start a new section, it gave me a few problems and I’m not sure I would of finished it is I was done with everything.
What it looked like last update.

And now.

I think I’m ready to be done though, I’m already thinking about what I want to stitch next. 😀 (but I’ll finish this one before I start something new!)
Be sure to check out the others in the SAL. (If you would like to join us, contact Avis)

SAL Update – Delicate Wicket #2

I can’t believe it has been three weeks already. I was able to get a lot done again this time. I’m taking advantage of the down time I have now, because I know it won’t always be this way 😀

Here is went I had done last time….

I finshed the line work on the part I was working on last time. I then started the next section and am almost done, except for a little more line work. I’m really pleased with the way it is turning out. I’m also glad I decided to do the line work as I finish each section, because I’m already not wanting to work on it. I’m telling myself that I can’t start a new section until I finish and it is working so far.

Another update in three weeks

Don’t for get to visit the other ladies in the SAL and see want they have done.

Well it’s been awhile since I have posted. Life has been super busy. I have been crafting, just not posting.
One of the many crafts I like to do is cross-stitch. I haven’t done much of it for a long time, but I follow a few blogs that cross-stitch. On one of the blogs she was doing an update on her project. She was talking about a SAL she was in. Now I’ve heard of a KAL (Knit A Long) and CAL (Crochet A Long), but not a SAL. Well the SAL is a Stitch A Long. The way it works is that you work on any cross-stitch project you want and have a schedule of updates. I really liked this idea, working on whatever you want and having accountability. Win/win 😀.  Sign me up 😀   So this is my first update……..
It was hard to decide which project I wanted to do. I had a lot of kits that I wanted to get to, some day. I also had quite a few projects I have started and not finished for one reason or another. After much thought I decided to work on this one

I really like this scene. It reminds me of Italy, which is one of my favorite places.

I have really enjoyed working on this project. I wasn’t sure I would, it is very monochromatic right now. I decided to to work on only a fourth of the project at a time. I think some times in the past I have worked to big of an area and made mistakes.

It finally quieted down after Christmas and my husband had to have a scoping on his knee, so I’ve had some time to work on this and have gotten a lot done.

I have finished the upper left corner. Just have to do the line work. I’m going to try to do the line work as I go, since I noticed I had a few projects done except for that.
I will update this project on January 29th. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep my momentum.

Here are the other ladies who are doing the SAL. Please check out the beautiful work they are doing.

52 Cards… Card 6

Well as you can tell I’ve been gone awhile. I’ve been crafting, just not blogging about it.

I have a card to share with you that I made and sent for my Dad’s birthday in January. I’m trying to make and send more birthday cards this year.
This is the front of the card and the envelope.

And the back.

I do a lot of “back art” on my cards, but don’t always show it. I couldn’t resist showing this one since it carries through the theme of the sentiment inside.
Hopefully it won’t be so long between post, but no promises lol

Sorry it been so long since I have written last. I hate it when life gets in the way 😀 Haven’t been crafting much, just been super busy.
I’ve been following rukristin’s Awesome Ladies Project Challenge. I was honored to be chosen and one of her quest designers.

The prompt I got to work on was selfies.  I really like taking selfies, they are a great way to capture the moment. We have been doing selfies for years, even before cellphones. It is so much better now lol. This week’s prompt was right up my alley, since I like taking selfies, I had a road trip with great friends, and selfies I could use. It also got me going on making this project as I have never thought of doing a layout with selfies before.

Over the weekend I went to San Deigo with friends for Stampin’ Up’s “On Stage” ( for demonstrators). It was so much fun doing a road trip.  We stayed with one of our friends who has a place in Escondido. She told us about a place that was famous for their donuts, called Peterson’s Donut Corner that is open 24 hours. So of course we had to go check it out. They were so good we had to go back the next day for breakfast, and made one last trip before we headed out of town. The definitely a highlight of the trip.  Of course we took selfies to document our trips.

I had fun doing this page, great way to remember the weekend.

Will try to do better posting. Until next time…..
