September-SAL #2

Three weeks have flown by again and it is time for a SAL update.

I was able to get more stitching time these last 3 weeks. It felt good to be able to work on my project.

As a reminder here is what my project will look like when it is finished…..

Here is where I was last update……

And here is where I am now……

I finished the upper half of the snowman and got most of his backstitching done. I also finished the deer and couldn’t resist backstitching his face. It sure makes a difference. Was also able to finish the polar bear’s head except for his eyes. Just have the scarf on the left an the backstitching to finish and then I’ll be done with the top part of the project.

We have 2 new members join us this update, so please welcome Susan and Anne. Also be sure to check out what the other members have been working on.

See you in 3 weeks for another SAL update.

September-SAL

Wow I can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks, and I missed an update. It has been a busy summer. Lots of good things happening, just busy and not much time for stitching.

I finally decided on a project. Guess I’m still in a Christmas mood, although I think I’ll use this one in January when I decorate with snowmen.

Here is the picture from the kit.

Sorry it’s not a great picture, but you get the idea.

Here is what I have been able to get done so far. It’s kind of hard to see, since it is mainly white, cream, soft grey and soft blue threads on a white background. I probably should have picked a different background, but that is what came with the kit, so I went with it. I’m sure it will better once I put in the backstitching.

The backstitshing is hard to do as you go because you have to finish a least a couple of spaces of the animal next to the one you just finished. I have finished the snowman’s head and around it so will be backstitching that soon. I just hate waiting until the end, because then I don’t get it finished. ðŸĪŠ

Be sure to check out what the others in the Stitch-A-Long have been up to and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks.

July-SAL

Time again for a SAL update.

I haven’t had a lot of time to stitch these last 3 weeks. That’s OK though, since I’ve been doing fun things. 😀 Some traveling, company, etc.

I did get my Santas done. So a “happy dance” for me!

Here is where I was 3 weeks ago…..

And the finished piece…

They were so much fun to stitch.

I haven’t decided which project I want to start next, so I’ll show you what my next project is next time.

Please check out what the others have been doing, and I’ll see you in 3 weeks.

June-SAL #2

Wow it’s hard to believe the year is half over. How is tomorrow the first of July?

I have been able to get some stitching in these last 3 weeks. Feels good. I’m really liking the project. It is fun watching these Santas take shape.

Here is were I was 3 weeks ago.

And here I am today.

Finished left side border, the middle Santa and almost finished the top border. So all I have left is the third Santa and right border. May have a happy dance next time, will see how it goes 😀

Be sure and check out how the others are doing on their project.

Wow that 3 weeks just flew by. I can’t believe it’s time for another SAL update already.

I was able to get some stitching in this time. I have had a hard time deciding on a project lately, but finally picked one. The one I picked was a kit I’ve had for a long time now. It is a really fun stitch and I’m enjoying it a lot.

The name of this kit is Cheerful Santas. Here is a picture of what it will look like when it is finished.

Here is my progress so far. One very cute Santa done.

See you in 3 weeks, hopefully I’ll have a lot more of this stitched up.

Be sure to check out what the others in the SAL are working on.

SAL-April #2

Wow these last 3 weeks have flown by. I finished my sock. I’m really happy with the way it turned out. Love the new technique, and making both socks at the same time is the best. I see more socks in the future. The only change I made is the pattern is call for taller sock. I like my socks to be ankle length, so I just stopped when it was the length I wanted.

Here is the finished sock.

As for cross-stitch goes I got all but the post for the birdhouse done. Didn’t have the color, but have it now so I’m going to say I’m done. Yeah!

Not sure what I want to work next, so it will be a surprise next time 😄

Be sure to check out what the others have been up to.

See you in 3 weeks.
