September SAL-Seasonal Trucks #2

Well I have found some time to work on my seasonal Trucks. Last update I was working on my August truck. I was able to finish it and also finished my September one. I actually finished 4 of these trucks. I decided to make the whole set for my friend and since I had all the floss out that I would make a set for myself. 🤣

I’m hoping I’ll have a finished sample next update, but I wanted to show what the project is supposed to look like when done.

Here is want the finished August looks like ……

From creator’s website

Here is where I was last update……

I had started the truck on white cloth after deciding I didn’t like it on grey cloth.

Here is my August truck……

And my September truck,,,,,

Only 10 more to go. 🤣

Please check out what others in the SAL have been stitching and I’ll see you in 3 weeks with another update.

SAL-August

I took a break from Snow Pals to work on a gift for a friend’s birthday. My friend really likes the old pickup trucks. She loves the red ones with the Christmas tree in the back that have been popular at Christmas. So when I saw this set of Vintage Truck of the Month by Erica I knew I wanted to make the August one for her birthday. I plan on making the whole set, but this one is the first.

I finished this and am not sure I like the colors together. I think the background is to dark. The example has a white background so I decided to start over with the white. I also made the truck a darker shade of blue. Lucky this piece is a relatively fast stitch.

Here is where I am now. I like this combo much better. I will share the finished project in the next update.

Please stop by and see what the others in the SAL have been doing and I’ll see you in 3 weeks.

August SAL-Snow Pals#3

Life has been busy and time has just gotten away from me. So unfortunately I’m a day late with this update 😩

I was able to get some stitching in, not much but I’m thinking right now just a few stitches is better then nothing 😀

I was able to get the deer’s nose done and start one of his antlers

Here is where I was last update…….

And now…….

Please check out what the others in the SAL have been doing and I’ll see you in 3 weeks.

SAL-July

Life has been super busy lately. July is always a busy month. It seems like we always have a lot of company and activities this month. So there hasn’t been any time for stitching, and I’m afraid I don’t have anything to show this update. Hopefully things will slow down soon, and I’ll have something to show next update.

Hope your summer is going well.

Please check out what the others in the SAL have been up to, and I’ll be back in 3 weeks.

June SAL #2-Snow Pals #2

It is hard to believe it is almost July already! This year has felt like it is going by at a crawl and just flying by at the same time.

A lot has happen in the last 3 weeks so there hasn’t been much stitching time, but I have been able to sneak in a few minutes here and there.

Here is where I was 3 weeks ago.

And now……..

I was able to get some of the grey shading done around the deer’s face and ears.

Hopefully you are having a great summer so far.

Please check out what the others in the SAL are working on and I’ll be back in 3 weeks for another update.

June SAL Midnight Way Happy Dance.

Well I finally have a Happy Dance to report! I finished Midnight Way.

Here is where I was last update

And here is the finished project…….

It feels so good to have this project finished. I really like the way it turned out. Now I just have to decide if I want to frame it, make it a pillow or so something else.

Now that this project is finished, it’s time to think about a new project. Back in October/November 2019 I started a project called “Snow Pals” I got about 1/3 done and wasn’t liking the way it looked on the white background, so I put it in “timeout” Well I remembered I had this one and decided it was time to work on it again.

Here is what the finished project will look like….

And here is what I had done before it was put in timeout.

I decided to work it on a darker grey cloth. So far I’m liking it better.

Here is my first update on “Snow Pals”……..

This is the head of the deer. It is going fast so far.

Well I guess this is it for now. Please check out what the others in the SAL have been up to and I’ll see you with another update in 3 weeks.

May SAL Midnight Way #13

Well life has slowed down a bit and I have been able to get some stitching in, Yeah!!!

It hasn’t been much stitching, but something is better then nothing.😄

Here is where I was the last time

And here I am now.

You can see the a bat and the beginning of Frankenstein. Just have to do the out lines. So a funny thing… I couldn’t figure out what that brown blob was until I looked at the picture above and realized it was a broom the bat was hanging on 🤣

Hopefully things are to continue to slow down and I’ll be able to stitch more. I think I’m ready for a new project. 🤣 I’m trying to stay with this one and finish it, but it is hard 🤣

Please check out what the others have been doing and I’ll see you in 3 weeks.

April SAL Midnight Way #12

Well life has been super busy and crazy.

We had our daughter’s wedding at our house a couple of week ago. it turned out beautiful. The weather was great and it ended up being a beautiful night.

We have had something most nights and there just hasn’t been any time to do any stitching. Unfortunately I seem to be a day behind in my thinking and totally missed the update yesterday.

Hopefully life will slow down soon. I’m really ready for a day to stay home and get something done.

Please check out what the others have been up to and I’ll see you in 3 weeks.

April SAL- Midnight Way# 11

Well life is still crazy busy right now. Our daughter is getting married next weekend in our backyard, so I have been doing some major spring cleaning. 😀 By the time I sit down in the evenings I’m really tired and don’t feel like doing much of anything, but relaxing. I did get a tiny amount of stitching in, but I’m not sure you will be able to tell much difference 🤪

Here is my stitching the last time I shared …….

And now…….

I added a little more on the broader. Hopefully after next weekend, things will calm down and I’ll have more progress to show you

Please check out what the others are working on and I’ll be back in 3 weeks.
