March-SAL #2

Hope this finds you all well and heathy. Things sure are crazy right now. We are all doing good and no sickness so far.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome back. It’s great to be back.

I haven’t been stitching much, but was able to get some done. For some reason the pinecone was giving me trouble. I had to rip it back a couple of time before I finally figured it out. I started to do the backstitching of the pine needles, but stopped because I just wasn’t feeling it. I think I’ll give that a break and work on the other panels.

This is were I was 3 weeks ago.

And where I am now

I’m hoping I’ll be able to get more stitching in the weeks ahead. I have another project I want to start, but told myself I have to wait until I finish this one.

Please check out what the others in the SAL have been doing and I’ll see you in 3 week.

Stay well.

March-SAL

First off I need to apologize for being gone for so long. Life has gotten really crazy! First there was Christmas, then our daughter and her 3 girls have moved in with us in January. It is a big life change for all of us, but I also had 2 rooms that had to be totally cleaned out of 20 years of stuff. One of the rooms was my craft room 🙁. I had so much stuff that I had to go through and so many decisions to make that by end of the day I was so tired that I just wanted to sit and do nothing. So needless to say I haven’t gotten any stitching done.

Trying to decide on a project has been hard too, so I have decided to work on this project.

I thought that this was cute and would go great in our cabin. Also it is a small, easy project which is what I need right now.

I was able to make some progress. Doesn’t look like much, but I’m actually almost half done.

Please check out what the others in the SAL have been working on. We have 2 new members this time. Welcome Laura and Cathie

See you in 3 weeks.

November SAL #2

Well another 3 weeks has flown by and I’m afraid I don’t have much to share.

The snowmen are still in time out, but I have chosen a project to work on. The Frosted Pumpkin has another mystery SAL called The Nutcracker Parade. I really enjoy these projects. Unfortunately I have been so busy, that I haven’t had time to even start it.

This is as far as I’ve gotten……

Hopefully things will slow down in the next 3 weeks and I will have some progress to share.

Be sure and check out what the others are working on, I’m sure the have more then I did to share 😀

November-SAL

Wow the last 6 weeks have just flown by! Sorry I missed the last update, life has been super busy, with traveling and everyday life stuff.

I’m afraid I have nothing new to share on my snowmen. I’ve decided to put them in a time out. I wasn’t really happy with the white background and the snowmen colors. I thought that once I started backstitching they would stand out better, but unfortunately they didn’t. So I’m putting them aside for now, until I decide if it bothers me enough to start over with a darker background.

So I’ll probably be starting a new project soon.

Be sure and check out what the others have been up to, I’m sure more then I have 😀

We have a returning member, Connie, welcome back Connie.

Next update is November 24th

September-SAL #2

Three weeks have flown by again and it is time for a SAL update.

I was able to get more stitching time these last 3 weeks. It felt good to be able to work on my project.

As a reminder here is what my project will look like when it is finished…..

Here is where I was last update……

And here is where I am now……

I finished the upper half of the snowman and got most of his backstitching done. I also finished the deer and couldn’t resist backstitching his face. It sure makes a difference. Was also able to finish the polar bear’s head except for his eyes. Just have the scarf on the left an the backstitching to finish and then I’ll be done with the top part of the project.

We have 2 new members join us this update, so please welcome Susan and Anne. Also be sure to check out what the other members have been working on.

See you in 3 weeks for another SAL update.

September-SAL

Wow I can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks, and I missed an update. It has been a busy summer. Lots of good things happening, just busy and not much time for stitching.

I finally decided on a project. Guess I’m still in a Christmas mood, although I think I’ll use this one in January when I decorate with snowmen.

Here is the picture from the kit.

Sorry it’s not a great picture, but you get the idea.

Here is what I have been able to get done so far. It’s kind of hard to see, since it is mainly white, cream, soft grey and soft blue threads on a white background. I probably should have picked a different background, but that is what came with the kit, so I went with it. I’m sure it will better once I put in the backstitching.

The backstitshing is hard to do as you go because you have to finish a least a couple of spaces of the animal next to the one you just finished. I have finished the snowman’s head and around it so will be backstitching that soon. I just hate waiting until the end, because then I don’t get it finished. ðŸĪŠ

Be sure to check out what the others in the Stitch-A-Long have been up to and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks.

July-SAL

Time again for a SAL update.

I haven’t had a lot of time to stitch these last 3 weeks. That’s OK though, since I’ve been doing fun things. 😀 Some traveling, company, etc.

I did get my Santas done. So a “happy dance” for me!

Here is where I was 3 weeks ago…..

And the finished piece…

They were so much fun to stitch.

I haven’t decided which project I want to start next, so I’ll show you what my next project is next time.

Please check out what the others have been doing, and I’ll see you in 3 weeks.
